2012 Quadrennial Physics Congress

By sponsoring the Physics Congress (PhysCon), your organization will be in front of hundreds of the nation’s brightest young minds in the physical sciences, many of whom will continue on to graduate programs and exciting careers in the private sector, government, and academia. More than 500 undergraduate physics students will participate in this quadrennial meeting, along with an additional 300 graduate students, faculty members, and physics alumni.

Listed below are several levels of sponsorship opportunities designed to fit the budget and needs of any organization that would like to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity. In addition to the specifics listed, all sponsors will receive: acknowledgement on the Physics Congress website, acknowledgement in all published Physics Congress materials, and the opportunity to include materials in guest registration bags.

$100,000 Closing Banquet Sponsorship

  • Sponsor closing banquet (including two “front and center” tables and speaking opportunity), Saturday evening
  • Signage prominently displayed throughout the meeting space
  • 2 exhibitor booths during the exhibit hall (Thursday, Nov. 8, 3-8 pm)
  • Prominent presence at “Breakfast with a Scientist”(Signage and a host at 2 tables)
  • Table and signage for your organizations representatives at poster events
  • Dinner with American Institute of Physics (AIP) Executives
  • Congress registration, includes a tour of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center with students
  • Reception with Governing Board Members / Dinner with the AIP Governing Board Members and the Society of Physics Students National Council (Thursday night)
  • Physics Today Online advertisement
  • Logo on Physics Today Jobs website
  • Logo and advertisement in The SPS Observer, the Society of Physics Students quarterly magazine (sent to more than 4,000 student members)
  • Logo and advertisement in Radiations, Sigma Pi Sigma’s semiannual magazine (sent to more than 25,000 members)
  • Lead sponsorship visibility
  • Logo prominently displayed on the Physics Congress website
  • 4 year pledge option available: provides access to students during the 4 years between each Congress:
    • Invitations to attend the SPS Chapter and Zone meetings and events around the country
    • Invitation to attend the Annual SPS Council meeting at AIP headquarters
    • Logo prominently displayed over the pledge period on the SPS website and in the Observer and Radiations

$50,000 Opening Banquet Sponsorship

  • Sponsor opening banquet (including speaking opportunity), Thursday evening

$10,000 Workshop Sponsorship

$3,000 Directional Signs Sponsorship

  • Sponsorship of the Congress’s directional signage
  • Exhibitor booth during the exhibit hall (Thursday, Nov.8, 3 – 8 pm)

      Membership in Sigma Pi Sigma, the physics honor society hosting this event is by invitation only.
